Rosina Bonnet Ankeny
Little Rosina Bonnet Ankeny only lived to be seven years old. Rosina was named after her Grandmother, Rosina Bonnet Ankeny of Somerset, Pennsylvania. Little Rosina was born on September 1, 1835 and died on Christmas Eve 1842 in Millersburg, Ohio. She is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg, Ohio. The inscription on her stone reads:
Oh come, Sweet Jesus, quickly come,
And ease my aching breast,
I long to reach my Heavenly home,
To be with Christ is best.
Her name is also etched on the Ankeny family headstone in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa and listed under her oldest brother's name John Fletcher Ankeny and his wife Sally.
